The GOAL of Smokefree San Dieguito

Welcome to San Dieguito Alliance’s Smokefree San Dieguito Project. The GOAL of Smokefree San Dieguito is to ensure that all residents of apartments and condominiums in the Cities of Del Mar, Encinitas, and Solana Beach have the right to breathe clean air at home, free from exposure to secondhand and thirdhand smoke, including cigarette smoke and e-cigarette aerosol, from both nicotine, marijuana, and all other smoked or vaped substances.

The Smokefree San Dieguito Project PROVIDES:

• Access to a coalition of community members working to ensure that residents of multi-unit housing properties are protected from intrusive secondhand and thirdhand smoke and aerosol.
• Support for residents who are exposed to secondhand and thirdhand smoke at home.
• Education and engagement with decision-makers to provide support for the adoption of comprehensive smokefree multi-unit housing ordinances.
• Assistance for property owners, managers, and homeowners’ associations with education, adoption, and implementation of smokefree policies, including lease addendums and model policies.
